Michael Weldon (Mr. Copy) was Signed to Soma, Scotland’s longest running electronic music label, as a promising young techno producer at the age of 19. His debut 12 inch single was released on Soma in 2008 and a sell-out release on Rekluse in collaboration with Simon Stokes followed. He has since gone on to release music on local and international labels such as Sleaze Records based in Paisley and Philbus Records based in France.

This early success resulted in live performances at various european festivals in 2008 and 2009 including Barcelona during Sonar, Rockness in Scotland and Fusion Festival in Berlin. He also played regularly in Glasgow at The Subclub and The Arches as well as at Carabet Voltaire during the Edinburgh festival.
After slowing down his output of releases, Michael’s focus has drifted slightly from the dancefloor into atmospheric, cinematic and experimental territories. His diverse taste in music has seen his sound absorb a range of influences from hip-hop to ambient and electronica.
