Neural Xólotl
Fabián Ávila Elizalde aka "Neural Xólotl" (Mexico, 1980) is an artist, teacher and researcher of listening and the sound arts. He studied a Master's Degree in Music and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He is self-taught as an electronic music producer, and was trained in electric bass and jazz theory with Aarón Cruz.

His work explores the social and emotional possibilities of listening, the results of which have been exhibited around the world....

His work explores the social and emotional possibilities of listening, the results of which have been exhibited around the world. He has received national and international awards and scholarships, including: the II OCA International Artistic Residence (Brazil, 2018), Experimenta/Sur VI (Colombia, 2017), and the Jury's Award at the Sonic Explorations of a Rural Archive. Sound Art & Electroacoustic Music International Competition (Portugal, 2016).

His latest project -Dosis de escucha (Listening Doses)-, explored the relationships between listening, cancer, and pain, and was supported by the PECDA CDMX (Secretaría de Cultura CDMX) and Dr. José de Jesús Villafaña (IMSS).
