A workshop about EEG and performative arts.

EEG or electroencephalography is the recording of electrical activity in the brain that can be used to control software on a computer in several ways. This is a hands-on workshop about neuro-technology and performative arts, with a focus on the Emotiv [www.emotiv.com] software and hardware.

The workshop will cover the basics of the EPOC Emotiv hardware and software and its uses for AV performances. At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to use Emotiv technology with their vjing applications of choice such as max/msp, Modul8, VVVV, Resolume, etc.

Mac or Win laptops are required. 2 Emotiv EPOC headsets will be available for the workshop
