Video Mapping as a symbolic form
I've graduated last June in Photography and Contemporary Art in Paris 8 University with a Master’s thesis in Video Mapping. This emerging technique is being developed and used in various fields, still mapping remains mostly known as a cultural industry's product. My thesis analyzes video mapping as a transversal and polymorphic tool, proposing and putting ahead examples of its uses in other fields (scientific research, contemporary art installations and festivals). Throughout these examples, different aspects of video mapping are approached: its relation to the support of the projection, its surface, the projected image... Video mapping becomes then an emblematic symbol of our contemporary society, able to state something about our time's relation to the image.

I've presented this research during Image Beyond the Screen conference of Video Mapping European Center in Lille last year. This study has also been published as an article in the book Image Beyond the Screen by ISTE Editions.
