The investigation has shown that its users experience a phenomenon of Collective Musical Embodiment. The University of Kent has released the software as open source under the GPLv3 licence. The research involved 32 artists across 10 projects, disseminated through 16 venues and 8 publications. Live Performance Meeting hosted already, in 2010, a VIVO performance (Invisible Cities: Fabio Paolizzo & Riccardo La Barbera).
In VIVO+, the commercial exploitation of VIVO is sought by defining specific presets of user interaction dedicated to the business sector. VIVO+ will be showcased at Expo 2015, and is planned for permanent installation at Academia Nazionale di San Luca, as a new means for the visitor to experience the Academia’s collections.
At Live Performance Meeting, we want to bring the new and the old experience combined in an interdisciplinary format as the topic is, comprising a workshop and an artistic demo, in anticipation of the Expo event.
