Donato Panaccio is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound designer. He holds a degree in Musicology from the University of Rome and a diploma in Sound Engineering from SAE Institute in London, where he subsequently worked for over fifteen years in the music and audio industry, developing deep expertise in both technical and creative fields. He currently lives in Rome and works between Italy and the United Kingdom.
As a sound engineer, he collaborated for many years with Orgone Studios, recording artists such as Cathedral, Grave Temple, Oranssi Pazuzu and many others. He later pursued a freelance career, working with directors, musicians and artists on projects ranging from electronic production to sound design and acoustic recording.
His research extends into sonic, digital and multimedia arts, with a particular interest in experimental and avant-garde music — elements that flow naturally into his productions.
In academia, he has been teaching in the field of music production and sound engineering for approximately ten years, having held undergraduate courses at SAE Institute and the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in London. He also regularly leads production workshops at Abbey Road Institute. His pedagogical approach integrates technical skills and artistic sensibility, promoting experiential and relational learning.
Alongside his artistic and academic practice, he is also a certified meditation teacher, with a particular focus on the use of sound and music in personal and professional development contexts.
