The BAD TRIP project presents a narrative immersive audiovisual installation through an immersive experience that can serve as a conversation starter about generation gaps and the traumas they cause. We talk very little about them, yet they are part of our lives. The viewer follows the protagonist through a 'bad trip-like' series of events through the levels of a family house, where he gets deeper and deeper, not only into the levels of the house, but also into himself. We talk very little about them, yet they are part of our lives. The viewer follows the protagonist through a 'bad trip-like' series of events through the levels of a family house, where he gets deeper and deeper, not only into the levels of the house, but also into himself. The project also aims to have a community-building effect and helps to accept and self-reflect on the subject.
The installation already had its debut at Hungarian House of Music's soundome. The immersive space allows us to take the participants into
the location of the story, which makes the experience even more intense and personal.
The project was made by animation and art & design management students of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design and was funded by the National Cultural Fund of Hungary.
