Introspectives explores the realm of space and vision in relation to sound. A software conceptualized by Kirsten Swensenmakes it possible to compose in a process that always links to sound and vision. Sound is vision is sound, treated as one absolute unity. All of the visualisations that are made are programmed, so they are interactive. I want to use my movement as a catalyst for portraying the different landscapes and the emotions that come with that. A collaboration began between me and a company that is manufacturing the first data glove specially designed for virtual reality. It tracks hand movement using a combination of high-tech sensors all contained inside the glove. With this technology, it provides accurate and reliable hand tracking. Bluetooth integration makes the glove completely wireless, giving users a no strings attached mobile VR experience. Ill be the first visual artist to make an interactive performance with these gloves. Therefore i have the ability to combine my interactive software with their software. As a vj I don’t like to always sit still behind my laptop, instead using my body feels more natural to me to express myself. This way I can actually control my visuals through movement using my hands in a graceful way.
