I explore the possibility of combining the atmosphere of a party with meaningful images: rhythm and statements, melody and questions. Rhythm is usually associated with visual abstraction. How much can I deviate from this and move back into the real, into my life, a life which can be similar to the lives of the people who party?

This piece is directed to somebody who came to dance and is set to the music by Joe Synkro. It’s about feelings - moments of joy, peacefulness, loneliness, or simply the confusion about how we allow the world to be. It is made with pictures from everyday life: snapshots from holidays, commutes, landscapes that we live in, hangouts with friends. Maybe a person moving to the music against the backdrop of the screen will relate to it and say: “Oh yes! I know the feeling”.

In the 80s people believed that a party is not only a shelter from the outside world but also a way to unite and bring change. Unity comes not only from the ancient nature of rhythm but also from the realization that we may not be so different from each other - in today's megapolis we feel the same and face the the same problems. Individualism is destroying our world. I believe that empathy at parties will help people reclaim their right to be happy.
