Throughout art history, patterns reflect life’s organic intelligence, carrying a divine essence in their compositions. These patterns are not mere ornamentation; they form a living dialogue between imagination, fluidity, and structure.
Islamic patterns are primarily rooted in the principles of geometry and mathematical precision, as seen across various disciplines such as architecture, textiles, and calligraphy.
This project proposes a research-driven exploration of Islamic patterns, extending to the craftsmanship of Moroccan zellige. It engages with the mathematical and philosophical depth of these designs.
In this research, visualization becomes an active process, transforming static representations into dynamic explorations. By drawing, manipulating, and documenting in real-time through digital and performative means, the project moves beyond two-dimensional studies into an immersive engagement with forms, patterns, symbols, movement, and transformation.
