Workshops & learning

Fragmentin will remotely run a one day workshop on the topic of natural, artificial and digital landscapes. The artist trio will explain to the participants the process behind the production of the map “Val d’Arcadia”: from the concept/inspiration to getting the data from Swisstopo and finally transforming it for the final output through the open-source software “Processing”.

The workshop is an introduction to how to create fictional maps using digital tools. In that context, the participants will be invited to imagine/sketch a fictional landscape in the form of cartography based on data sets of their choice.
