Festival

The Multimedia Festival Oddstream 2016  will take place from 18 to March 28, 2016 , in and around the complex Honig Nijmegen with an exhibition of twenty audiovisual installations, workshops for adults and children, technological innovations in the TechLab, lectures of scientists and artists, artist-in-residences, special performances and a spectacular video mapping on the tower of the honey.

Computer virus in your body? Lasers that detect your smartphone? Sound and light compositions created by touch?

In this interactive exhibition shows the endless possibilities and limitations of technology and your role central.

Exhibition

The exhibition consists of twenty art installations by international artists including Pauline van Dongen, Marco Donnarumma and Olivier Ratsi (Anti VJ label). In this exhibition are the infinite possibilities and limitations of technology and interactivity central. The exhibition consists largely of work that exists by virtue of the visitor or where the visitor directly affect you on.

TechLab

Where in the exhibition’s artistic approach to technological innovation is central, it’s more in the TechLab to the practical applications of both new technologies and art, such as the 3D scanning people, drones that make landmines harmless or the first 3D notebook that you can see without 3D glasses.

Rand Program

During the exhibition there is an extensive program of lectures, workshops, performances and more! More information will follow.

Video Mapping

The Honig Honig tower at the complex is from far and wide to see and will be even more noticeable during Oddstream Exposition in 2016. The participants of our training Oddstream on Stage designed a video mapping show for the tower. This spectacular show the Oddstream Exhibition 2016 will be officially opened. The show is during the exhibition days from 19.30 - monitor every 15 minutes 22.00.

Workshops for children

Young visitors from 8 years old are welcome to come create during Oddstream!

The workshops are each exhibition day from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. hours. Admission is € 2.50 in conjunction with an exhibition ticket.

TechLab

Where in the exhibition’s artistic approach to technological innovation is central, it takes more TechLab to the practical applications of new technologies as well as art, such as the 3D scanning people, drones that make landmines harmless.

Odd Talks

Odd Talks are inspiring meetings in which technological innovations from various angles are highlighted. March 20 is dominated by technology and how contrarian outside the regular system to be established democratic innovations. March 27 is about intimate technology and how technology literally gets under our skin.

In Code

Gwyneth Wentink, Wouter Pruning and Arnout Hulskamp present in code, an audiovisual performance of Terry Riley’s “In C” with harp, electronics and visuals. In Code is a dazzling fusion of sound and image in which the senses firm. In code is about structure, freedom and solidarity in which the electronic and acoustic, instruction and improvisation and unity and hybrid congregate.

AVnode LPM 2015> 2018

Oddstream is from 2015 to 2018 part of the large-scale European network project AVnode LPM 2015> 2018. Twelve media festivals participate and send artists, designers, performers and VJs to each event. Also exchanged knowledge during each festival. During Oddstream Exhibition 2016 shows work from this project by artists from countries such as Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Austria and Greece.

The Audience Development Meeting takes place on 25 March with Kees de Groot (GOGBOT), Gwyneth Wentink (Todaysart), Elwira Wojtunik (Patchlab) and Melanie Wetter (B-Seite Festival).
