Insert Body Here invites you to live mix performance.
Insert Body Here is an interactive experiment that explores the ways in which the human body and voice can manipulate auditory landscapes and shape visual Images. Using your own gestures and movements, and a system comprising of a Microsoft Kinect device and a selection of recorded live performance samples, this project allows you to create a new intermedial work. Drawing from a database of South African live performance Images, Insert Body Here integrates the digital and the human to create a space where technology and live performance improvise live to tell a new story out of old fragments.
