Mosaic (https://mosaic.d3cod3.org/) is an open source multi-platform (osx, linux, windows) live coding and visual programming application, based on openFrameworks.

This project deals with the idea of integrate/amplify human-machine communication, offering a real-time flowchart based visual interface for high level creative coding. As live-coding scripting languages offer a high level coding environment, ofxVisualProgramming and the Mosaic Project as his parent layer container, aim at a high level visual-programming environment, with embedded multi scripting languages availability (Lua, GLSL, Python and BASH(macOS & linux), plus live pure data (http://puredata.info) patching capabilities via libpd.

We'll introduce the Mosaic software in the first part of the workshop (4 hours), while in the second part we'll organize in work groups aiming at produce small collaborative live audiovisual sessions.

What is needed

One projector with native hd resolution (1920x1080) for text reading (classroom), internet connection (wifi or cable), and stereo sound system.

What the artists brings

Participants will just need their own laptop (Debian or Ubuntu Linux, macOS or windows). For those participants especially interested in sound that owns external soundcards, they are welcome to bring them.
