Drum and Space is a five song cycle bringing together the analogue and the digital into a beat-driven interstellar experience. It incorporates analogue electronics (for both audio and video), generative video created with custom software and open source tools, live vocals, and NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory data. Through audio and video which are tightly synchronized via networked computers, Drum and Space is an orchestrated and energetic narrative of a journey through and conquest of space.
The heart of a Drum and Space performance is the live use of analogue equipment to add to the ever-evolving textures of both audio and video in addition to live vocals, both sung and vocoded.
