happening during the so called "Museum's night" (this is the night, when most of
the galleries and museums are opened till very late and free for
entrance) in Moscow in the ex-USSR factory
space. It's one (and actually maybe first) of the pioneering festivals of this kind which happens in Russia. and it showcases "the delicacies" of new digital artists and
projects experimenting in the field of a/v performance and electronic music.
The festival is totally free (no entrance fee for the visitors) and
non-commercial one. PLUMS jam is an enthusiastic celebration of a new
audio-visual culture and electronic music of different types and every
year of the festival has its own structure and theme.
We have 2 parts of the show - live a/v performances and different kind of media/video installations carefully spread around the space of the event. We are trying to invite the most interesting and
cutting-edge projects to participate in the festival and paying very
much attention to the precise structure and dramatic concept of the program.
The festival also aims to have an educational role and to show new tends of music, arts and ideas to those, who are not inside the community, to the wide range of people, who are not used to such things (that's one of the reason why the festival takes place on the museum's night).
PLUMS fest started in 2008 and by this year has happened already 3 times (we dropped out 2009) and every year it was a big
success, over 6000 people visited our festival this year during the night.
