LIMINALIA is an immersive audiovisual performance exploring the space between consciousness and movement, stillness and transformation, the physical and the virtual.
Through whirling, embodied movement, live generative visuals and sound, the immersive space becomes a living field where body, image and environment continuously influence one another. The projections are not a backdrop to the performer, but part of the performance itself. Movement expands beyond the body into light, particles, shifting structures and visual fields that travel through the surrounding architecture.
At the center of the work is the experience of remaining present within movement. Whirling becomes a way of exploring the relationship between surrender and awareness, where the body can be in constant motion while an inner center remains still. At times we move, and at times it can feel as though movement is happening through us.
LIMINALIA inhabits this in-between state, where body, image, consciousness and environment begin to move as parts of the same evolving field. It is a space of transition where boundaries become fluid and new forms can emerge.
