Nicknamed "El Tremendizmo", Hugo Sanchez uses turntables and the mixer to create impossible soundscapes, which are referenced in African music, funk and electronic search music.
He was born in Rome in 1974 and grew up playing with his parents' record player and their collection of 60s French pop records. Already at the age of 12 he began experimenting with rudimentary instruments of sound reproduction. Already at the age of 12 he began experimenting with rudimentary instruments of sound reproduction. At the age of 17 he began to work as a DJ in the fields of independent culture production. In the 2000s he collaborated with sound in the construction of queer liberation parties such as Coq Madame, Phag Off and Subwoofer. Over the years he has built his multimedia production studio / laboratory and obtained residences as DJs in various clubs in Italy and abroad. He currently works with Rodion in the ALIEN ALIEN project and with the label ROCCODISCO. Together with the Belgian DJ ATHOME he shares the FRONT DE CADEAUX project.
In Rome its base is PESCHERIA, a study in which a collective of local and worldwide performers acts.
His reference party / event is currently TROPICANTESIMO al Fanfulla in Rome.
