About

hBar
is a travel through matter from the infinitesimal small to the cell size, to experience the granularity of our world, to question
ourselves whether our universe is continuous or discrete. We take for granted our understanding of the physical world because newton's
laws of dynamics let us easily handle everyday objects, but do we really embrace the underlying principles of mass, space and time upon
which every scientific theory is built? The same old questions the ancient greek philosophers tried to answer are still here today,
unanswered by puzzled physicists, nowadays the dilemmas seem even more complicated in the light of the recent paradoxes brought back
by quantum mechanics. hBar is a musical exploration of the microworld, a chaotic and psychedelic audio-visual experience through particle
trajectories and varying density states of matter, in a sonic metaphor, between the continuous timbre of the flute and the glitchy-digital
noises of the computer, or is it the other way around?

Alberto Novello: live cinema/ sound processing
Paolo Pascolo: flute
