Jamila Campagna (Latina, 08/01/1987)
Art historian, visual artist and independent curator; she trained as a photographer at the Scuola Romana di Fotografia Cinema, specializing in reportage at the ISFCI in Rome. Jamila Campagna (Latina, 08/01/1987)
Art historian, visual artist and independent curator; she trained as a photographer at the Scuola Romana di Fotografia Cinema, specializing in reportage at the ISFCI in Rome. Since 2008 she has been carrying out artistic research based on mixing media, exhibiting in independent contexts throughout Italy; within the interdisciplinary, multimaterial and multimedia research, she brings on video experimentation, where video is intended both as a form of documentation and as a conceptual and aesthetic research. The videos she produces are the main material used in her visual performances.
Since 2014 she is co-founder and creative director of the magazine IL MURO (www.ilmuromagazine.com) which deals with art, media, philosophy and Visual Culture. She also works as illustrator for the literary magazine Risme. In duo with Alessandro Alektron Tomei, she performs in AV performances and in concrete music performances (KoZmo project).
