Live Cinema Festival is an artistic project that lists among its primary objectives the promotion of the local community and the promotion of artistic content that can actively engage young people, providing stimuli that can positively influence their lives.

Live Cinema Festival is an event that reflects the spirit of the era in which technology has invaded every aspect of our lives. In this case, it's an era in which machines, art, and technology come together to spread new messages and perspectives, offering a new imagery and breaking down the boundaries between medium and content. It involves manipulating images and employing various techniques in approaching the creation of the final content, a result of improvisation and the artists' skill.

The project aims to offer the audience an overview of these ways of interpreting Live Cinema through the performances of artists from different countries. Live Cinema is indeed a form of expression widespread worldwide, and thanks to technological advancements, it continually generates new content, ideas, and perspectives, resulting in dedicated events, academic courses, and international cultural debates.

By 'Live Cinema,' we mean an experimental narrative technique applied to performative video, giving rise to the simultaneous creation of sounds and images in real-time. It expands the traditional parameters of narrative cinema represented by the camera's photographed subjectivity into a broader conception.

'Cinema' is understood as the act of creating images and sounds that dialogue with each other, taking shape in a synesthetic approach that translates into real-time audio-video performances. In front of these performances, the viewer's perception is in a continuous state of tension between experimentation and recollection.

Live Cinema Festival was part of the AVnode | LPM project from 2015 to 2018, a Large Scale Cooperation Project co-financed by the Creative Europe program of the European Union, involving 13 partners from 12 countries: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. Its goal was to promote and develop the culture of live video and European audio-video artists to audiences worldwide through the production of 36 festivals, 3 meetings, 3 conferences on Audience Development, and more than 200 satellite events over 3 years.
